Nicknamed the mouth of the south, Bentota town is a unique jurisdiction in terms of socio-economics and culture.
The mission and role played by the local council in developing the public infrastructure of the people of the jurisdiction with such a social background is immense. It is my aim to focus on the development of physical planning, roads, public utility services and health services in the locality, keeping in mind the objectives of building an environment that is necessary for the enjoyment of the people living in the locality, and to achieve our vision and mission effectively and efficiently.
It is the intention of our council to focus on information technology based services to achieve this goal and as one of its steps, through the coordination of the Local Government Department (Southern Province) this website was created with the support of Transparency International Sri Lanka and through it to you. Our local council is fortunate to be able to provide technology-first service.
