In the election held on 24.06.2025 under the patronage of the Local Government Commissioner, Mr. Don Premakumara Lasantha Wijewardena was elected as the new Honorary Chairman of the Bentota Pradeshiya Sabha, while Mr. Wickramaarachchige Don Prasanna Pradeep Kumara Gunawardena was elected as the Honorary Vice Chairman.
